Prior to leading Derson Capital, Derek had extensive global experience as a NASDAQ-listed CEO, Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE)- listed President & NASDAQ, TSX, OTCBB, and Private-Company Director with a focus on growth, M&A, operational execution, turnarounds, and shareholder return.

Derek led the growth of two billion dollar revenue businesses including as President of Sercomm Technology where he led the growth of the company from $250 million to $1 billion in annualized revenue in 3 years and as Senior Vice President & General Manager of ARRIS where he led a divisions growth from $300 million to $1.2 billion in 4 years.

In addition to his public company experience, Derek has private investment experience, including investments in Zenverge (video semiconductor; acquired by Freescale Semi) and Celeno (WiFi semiconductor; private). Derek has served on non-profit boards such as The Emma Bowen Foundation, where he served on the Finance Committee and Technology Committee.

Derek has a Bachelor of Science degree with a Computer Studies minor from The University of Maryland University College and a Master of Business Administration degree from The Pennsylvania State University. He is an NACD Governance Fellow with the National Association of Corporate Directors. Derek is also a patent holder and maintains an active secret security clearance.

Andrii Frytsiuk is a financial analyst who joined Derson Capital in 2022. Prior to this, he worked as a financial analyst at Dragon Capital. In his current role, Andrii is responsible for conducting market research, developing business models, and planning for investment returns.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the National University of Kyiv in Ukraine and a Master of Science in Advanced Economics and Finance from Copenhagen Business School in Denmark.

Amir is currently Head of Global Video Business for Sercomm where he has built the company’s video business into a roughly $400M business and a segment leader in North America in just 3 years. Amir has also been a trusted senior advisor to several companies, two of which he led to successful exits to public companies in 2021 and 2023.

Prior to Sercomm, Mr. Mobini served as Chairman, President and CEO of Zenverge, a venture backed leader in content networking semiconductors and platform solutions for major operators and consumer electronics which he founded and led from inception until its successful sale to Freescale (NYSE:FSL, Later acquired by NXP -- NASDAQ:NXPI).

Prior to Zenverge, he served as VP of Technology at Conexant Systems leading the video networking group he sold to Conexant from GlobespanVirata. Prior to Conexant, Mr. Mobini served as Vice President of Technology at GlobespanVirata where his leadership and expertise were pivotal in commercializing the world’s first video networking solutions for consumer electronics. He joined Globespan after it acquired his previous startup iCompression for $400M.

Amir also held management and leadership roles at Oak Technology and IBM. He holds 18 patents in the areas of video processing and delivery, and computer architecture.
